Sept 19, 2011: I was one of 6 regional artists invited by Kult to create an artwork for Facebook's official launch in Singapore (alongside Anjo Bolarda, Random Sunday, Adeline Tan, Stephen Chan and Jason Raish). I was given this fact to interpret: 'There are more than 70 translations available on Facebook'. For my poster, I imagined what it must be like for more than 70 different people talking in different languages, all at once, each trying to communicate with each other at the same time. Aug 11, 2011: Artwork for Starhub's latest nationwide 'HUB' campaign. I was asked to illustrate the social media aspects of Starhub's services, which was put out on bus stop posters. Agency: DDB Singapore.

Browsing Copy is an exhibition curated by Roy Poh (founder of A Beautiful Design), where used books are given a new life by artists, designers and illustrators. I was invited by Roy last year to be part of Series 2, featuring 24 other local and foreign artists. The book I got was 'Fashion for Weddings', which I completed in Oct 2010 and had some fun with:

Inspired by psychedelic 60s fashion and color, Tangled! is an artistic exploration of the use of yarn as a substitute for painting on canvas. The artist, without any formal training in knitting, stitching or sewing, attempts to bridge painting and fashion together, using improvisation, crude knotting skills and tangling techniques. The canvas becomes the body, and the yarn becomes an abstraction of a dress - if you can call it one.

27 April 2011: 'Your Vote Is Our Secret'. Ink and marker on wood board, 5m x 2.5m. Collaboration between Antz and eeshaun for the Raw Art Face Off with Sheryo and Zero in a 90 min street art battle at Old School.

3-12 March 2011: The More We Get Together: Watch This Space! is a reality tv series where two artists are paired to create a site-specific work in a mystery location. I collaborate with Michael Tan to create this installation at the Marina Barrage for episode 2, which aired on 13 April on Okto Channel. Watch the full episode.

March 2011: Russian Revolution - designed on a classic Soviet Fed 5B rangefinder camera for Red Army Camera, produced in a limited run of 50 pieces.

The FED 5B is a 35mm rangefinder camera produced by the FED factory in the Ukrainian city of Kharkov from 1977 until 1990. It came equipped with the Industar-61 L/D 55mm f/2.8 standard lens incorporating the rare-earth element lanthanum and a focal-plane shutter with speeds from 1s to 1/500s + B, flash sync up to 1/30s and a self-timer. March 2011: Artwork for Gambatte! Nippon movement. These posters were printed and taken around Tokyo to bring some cheer to families and victims of the Japanese Earthquake and Fukushima nuclear disaster.

Project Nippon is organised by ActuallyActually, a local fashion boutique to raise funds for the Japanese Earthquake victims. Each tyvek tote bag is $10 and all proceeds go to charity.
